I’ve had the same glasses for like 5 years, so I thought it was time for a new pair. My prescription hasn’t changed, so I just added a pair to my collection. I chose to try out Warby Parker…
What I Wore: Frida Kahlo
I’m the worst when it comes to blogging about fashion. Probably because I’m slightly uncomfortable talking about myself. Travel and cool art I can do;, me, not so much. But here is a quick reference of my Frida Kahlo exhibit outfit. Continue reading “What I Wore: Frida Kahlo”
Museum of Ice Cream Miami
So after having a blast at the Museum of Ice Cream San Francisco, I jumped at the chance to visit the newest version, Miami. Tickets were easier to purchase and surprisingly they didn’t sell out very fast. I procured tickets for a weekend in January (I’m behind on posting, I know) and then got on to finding plane tickets. I was in dire need of a mini vacation and recruited a friend to tag along.
Museum of Ice Cream San Francisco
In November, when I went to my aunt’s wedding, I also arranged tickets to visit the Museum of Ice Cream in San Francisco. I missed my chance on the original in New York City. By the time I had heard about it, it was over. Then this year they opened one in Los Angeles. Yet again, I missed my chance because it had sold out by the time the news reached my ears. Fortunately I had an epiphany and I signed up for the newsletter. This enabled me to know when new tickets were being sold AND where the next museum would pop up. So the next time, I would be ready… Continue reading “Museum of Ice Cream San Francisco”
Chiang Mai
We had plans to sightsee in Chiang Mai today. We had breakfast. I saw a mouse dart from under one table to another. That was it for me eating at our hotel. We got dressed and tried to hail a tuk tuk outside of our hotel. We went through three drivers before we haggled a decent price to the mountain temple and a few other temples. Continue reading “Chiang Mai”
Goodbye Siem Reap, Hello Chiang Mai.
Travel day! This morning we woke up late. It was wonderful. We had breakfast as usual and waited for our ride to the airport. There were ridiculous lines at the check in, mostly people trying to check overweight luggage or trying to bring things on the plane they weren’t supposed to. Continue reading “Goodbye Siem Reap, Hello Chiang Mai.”
Cambodia Day Two
This morning we got up, got dressed and had our breakfast in the outside restaurant. It was delicious. I had a Spanish omelette, Denali a bread plate with pineapple jam and orange marmalade. After those plates were taken away, you were given a fruit plate. Continue reading “Cambodia Day Two”
Bangkok day two…
It was nice to sleep in. I was still tired from yesterday. We got ourselves together and went downstairs. A tuk tuk driver tried to scam us into going to the less than stellar local floating market. He lied about the opening time of the wholesale market we were going to. It opened at 7 am and he said it opened at 11. Continue reading “Bangkok day two…”
Making a spectacle…
So this morning I’m sitting in my living room and my mom is reading an article in the NY Times. She jumps up and says that I need to bring Snapchat Spectacles with me. Mind you, I do not currently own a pair. She says I MUST bring them with me, I HAVE to get a pair. I inform her that they are not sold on the internet. Continue reading “Making a spectacle…”
What I actually packed
Here is a comprehensive list of what I’ve packed. When I return home, I will update with what was useful and what was not. To start off I will say I stuck to a color story to make it easier on myself. Burgundy/wine and a teal/turquoise are my main colors. I supplemented with grey and a few black pieces because, who am I kidding, black is my favorite thing to cover my body with. Back to the list…
