Obviously, I enjoy pop up museums. So I jump at the chance to see new ones. Yesterday, April 25, I visited a pop up in Manhattan called The Egg House. You can find them on Instagram under the @theegghouse. It is an egg-themed, instagramable space, that will be in Manhattan until the end of July. Randomly, the man in the storefront next door handed us a prize ball with an egg pin inside as we walked by. It was a great start of the visit. Continue reading “The Egg House”

So after having a blast at the Museum of Ice Cream San Francisco, I jumped at the chance to visit the newest version, Miami. Tickets were easier to purchase and surprisingly they didn’t sell out very fast. I procured tickets for a weekend in January (I’m behind on posting, I know) and then got on to finding plane tickets. I was in dire need of a mini vacation and recruited a friend to tag along.
In November, when I went to my aunt’s wedding, I also arranged tickets to visit the Museum of Ice Cream in San Francisco. I missed my chance on the original in New York City. By the time I had heard about it, it was over. Then this year they opened one in Los Angeles. Yet again, I missed my chance because it had sold out by the time the news reached my ears. Fortunately I had an epiphany and I signed up for the newsletter. This enabled me to know when new tickets were being sold AND where the next museum would pop up. So the next time, I would be ready…

After snacking on some delicious and much needed McNuggets, we entered the Museum of Pop Culture (MoPop). There were some great exhibits, including the Jim Henson Experience. My childhood came to life and my dreams came true as I wandered around. Kermit, Bert and Ernie, and The Count; they were all there. You could even make your own movie with a muppet. It was heaven on earth.Â
